The Weekly Pull List – August 10th, 2016

Comics come but once a week, but they last… well, a few years at least, right? Unless they’re digital, then they (should?) last a lifetime… hm… What’s on YOUR Pull List?

Episode 43 | The Dissection of “Issue vs. Trade”

This week’s episode was recorded on November 1st, 2015. Mike is out this week and in his stead, Nick, James, and Paul manage to create a pretty stellar episode of the podcast. The chat what they read since the last episode, and move into their comic picks: Ninjak #9, Monstress #1, and Justice League: Darkseid War: The Flash. The main topic of this week’s episode circles around how you distinguish between buying comics in single issue or buying comics in collected editions. This leads into a discussion about variant covers where Paul doesn’t care, James loves the covers for himself sometimes, and Nick goes insane for a small moment. Episode 34 | The Mythic Transformers vs. GI Joe Discussion

This week’s episode was recorded on August 23rd, 2015, and July 7th, 2015. At one point, Nick, Paul, and Mike decided to talk about Transformers vs. GI Joe at length and store it away. It was this week that, despite having comic picks (Dead Drop #4, Superman #43, and Fall of Ninjak), they had nothing to talk about (except some lingering thoughts from last week). So, as a fix for this situation, they have pulled from the “vault” their talk on Transformers vs. GI Joe–if you’re not sick of them talking about it yet, you will be after this week. This week’s music was by The New Law and Infinity Shred. This week’s episode was edited and produced by Mike Rapin. Have a question? Want us to talk about a topic?
